CUYAHOGA FALLS Thomas Paul Remark, 67, is now running a marathon with the angels, having passed away March 23, 2014.
Mr. Remark was born in Akron, Ohio and graduated from Buchtel High School in 1964 and served in the US Army. He retired from the United States Postal Service in 2010 after 30 years of service. He was a member of the Cuyahoga Falls Church Bowling League for 30 years along with the Summit Athletic Running Club for 30 years. He was a life member of the High Street Christian Church where he served several terms as a deacon and was a member of the American Legion Charles Faust Post 281.
He was a quiet, gentle soul, known for his quick wit and love of running, completing 4 marathons. He also loved music, sports, traveling, photography, and doing yard work. He was genuine family man.
Preceded in death by his parents Irene and Paul Remark, he is survived by his wife of 43 years, Kristine; children, Trisha Remark of Rocky River, Geoff (Cara Frazier) of Silver Lake; grandchildren, Gabriel, Taryn, Myah, and Hunter; brothers, Don and David; brothers- in-law, Bill and Burt Klapp and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, March 27 in the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St, Cuyahoga Falls, where a Memorial Service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday March 28, Chaplain Joseph Lee officiating.
