CUYAHOGA FALLS - Vincent Gerald Cizmar, 68 passed away at his residence November 3, 2013.
Mr. Cizmar was born in Youngstown, Ohio to Tillie and Martin Cizmar and graduated from Rayen High School. He received his Bachelor's Degree from Youngstown University and his master of Education from Kent State University. He taught middle school for forty years at Field Local School District where he coached football, basketball and track at the middle school. He was the very first recipient of Field's Teacher of the Year Award. "I love teaching middle school. That's when you're changing kids." He was a member of the River Front YMCA and The Chapel.
Vince was a humble, big hearted, loving man whose only desire was to please God and his fellow man. He gave and labored for those he knew and loved; even strangers were blessed by his personal efforts and generosity. He can never be replaced.
He is survived by his wife if 14 years, Roberta; children, Anne (Ozan) Kalkan of Richmond, KY, Martin (Kirsten) Cizmar of Portland, OR; step children Heather Schwinn of Cuyahoga Falls and Blake (Denise) Schwinn of Eureka, MO; grandchildren Taylor and Ashley; sister, Phyllis Cizmar of Youngstown and many friends.
There will be no calling hours or services. Cremation has taken place. Memorials may be made to The Chapel, 135 Fir Hill, Akron, OH 44304. Services entrusted to Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 330-928-2147.
