Virgie Farris

CUYAHOGA FALLS - Virgie Farris, 94, died November 24, 2010.

Mrs. Farris was born in Trimble , Tennessee . She had resided most of her life in Cuyahoga Falls graduating from Cuyahoga Falls High School in 1933. She had worked as a cafeteria manager for the Cuyahoga Falls Board of Education and was an active member of the United Presbyterian Church of Cuyahoga Falls teaching Sunday School, serving as a Deacon and Elder and was active in the Women's Circles.

Preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Glen and son, John, she is survived by her children, Mike (Peg) of Medina and Janet McBurney of Mogadore; daughter-in-law, Lavada Farris of Garrettsville; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and sister Betty Spellman of Uniontown.

There will be no calling hours. A Memorial Service will be conducted at 11:00 am Saturday, December 4, in the United Presbyterian Church of Cuyahoga Falls, 2819 Hudson Dr., Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221, Rev. J. Ross Slaughter officiating. Final resting place, Northlawn Memorial Gardens . Memorials may be made to the Food Pantry, c/o the United Presbyterian Church or to a charity of your choice.
