Walter Evans

CUYAHOGA FALLS – Walter Frederick Evans, 91, passed away December 24, 2018. He was a lifelong Cuyahoga Falls resident graduating from Falls High in 1945. Walter was a WWII veteran serving his country in the U.S. Navy. He retired from Ford Motor Co. after 30 years of service. He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting and fishing. Walter was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Preceded in death by his beloved wife, Aldine; 2 brothers and 3 sisters; he is survived by his children, Arlene (Larry) Thompson, Gail Evans and Jeff Evans; grandchildren, Laura (Jason), Ben (Amy), Tara, Scott (Amanda), Jacklyn, Colin, Adam and Andy; 10 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call one hour prior to an 11 AM funeral service on Saturday December 29, 2018 at the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221. Interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery.

In lieu of other remembrances memorials may be made to Summa Health Hospice/Palliative Care 525 E. Market St. Akron, OH. Services entrusted to Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home and Crematory, 330-928-2147.
