MUNROE FALLS - Walter I. Mothersbaugh, 87, passed away December 15, 2008. Born in Beccaria, Pennsylvania, he lived in Munroe Falls for 41 years, moving there from Cuyahoga Falls. Mr. Mothersbaugh was a WW II Army Air Force veteran having served with the 339th Fighter Squadron. He retired from SGS Tool as a machinist, and was previously a patternmaker for Ferriot Brothers and Industrial Art Craft. He was a member and had been a minister of New Apostolic Church in Stow.
Preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Ethel and wife, Betty J., Walter is survived by his children, Bettie (Terry) McClelland of Springfield Twp; Larry (Edward Walton) of Los Angeles; Susan (Leroy) Meloy of Brimfield; Scot (Angela) of Akron; and Tammy Mothersbaugh of Munroe Falls; grandchildren, Michael McClelland; Michelle (Jim) Batten; Greg (Tammy) McClelland; Kevin (Amy) McClelland; Bryan (Andrea) Steinlechner; Brenda Steinlechner; Jeremy Mothersbaugh, Courtney Daniel, Anthony Meley and Brittany Daniel; 10 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Ella Anderson of Cuyahoga Falls and Orphia Moses of Munroe Falls.

There will be no calling hours. A Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 pm Sunday in the New Apostolic Church, 3541 Elm Rd. Stow. Final resting place Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
