Walter L. Vest, 68 passed away February 11, 2017.
Walter was born in Akron to George and Helen (Pysell) Vest and graduated from Central High School. He served in the U.S. Marines during Vietnam and worked for Panther Transport. He was a member of the 20 Buckhorn Club and Ralph Huff VFW Post 1062. He enjoyed wood working and time with his family especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Terry; children, Sheryl (Carl) McGrady, James (Laurie) Bable, Genny (Greg) Smith and Jay Bable; six grandchildren and sister, Diane (Denny) Denman of Florida.
A Memorial Service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, February 16 in The Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St, Cuyahoga Falls, OH, where friends may call from 6:00 p.m. until the time of service. Dr. Richard A. Hasler officiating. Final resting place Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Services entrusted to Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home and Crematory, 330-928-2147.
