Wanda Wells

CUYAHOGA FALLS - Wanda Jane Wells, 89, passed away October 22, 2009.

Mrs. Wells was born in Akron and grew up in Cuyahoga Falls and graduated from the University of Akron where she was a member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority. She worked for Firestone Tire and Rubber and then for the Cuyahoga Falls Board of Education where she taught at Dewitt (Broad Street) School. She was a member of the Cuyahoga Falls Women's Club, Akron Women's City Club, PEO Chapter CS, The College Club of Akron and Pilgrim United Church of Christ in Cuyahoga Falls.

Preceded in death by husbands, Charles Wagstaff and James D. Wells, she is survived by her daughter Linda (Daniel) Macias of CA; grandchildren, Mayann (Derek) Scofield, Heather (Mike) McGarvie, Windy Romero, Maria (Cody) Watt, Diana (Jason) Newberry and Paul Romero; 11 great-grandchildren; brother Richard C (Adella) Stoner of Akron; nieces Sharon (David) Axelson and Mary (Jeff) Zhan and nephew Stephen (Georgeanna) Stoner.

Friends may call Thursday October 29 from 6 to 8pm in the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St, Cuyahoga Falls. A Funeral Service will be conducted Friday October 30, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the Pilgrim United Church of Christ, 130 Broad Blvd., Cuyahoga Falls 44221, Rev. Jerald Baker officiating. Interment Chestnut Hill Memorial Park following the service. The family requests memorials to Pilgrim United Church of Christ. Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 330-928-2147.
