Werner Britsch

Werner R. Britsch passed away on December 24, 2020. He was born July 25, 1922 in Bauschlott, Germany to the late Ludwig F. Britsch and Anna (Kist) Britsch. He was predeceased by his  sister, Elsa (Britsch) Maker.

He is survived by his children, Karl and Beth Britsch. Also survived by nephews and nieces, and cousins in Germany.  Werner received a masters degree in science in engineering from Brown University in Rhode Island.  He worked as an engineer at NASA in Cleveland, Ohio for 30 years before retiring. Also worked at NACA (National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics) in Cleveland and TRW.

Werner loved being outdoors and classical music. He enjoyed skiing, golf, hiking, travel, dancing, the Cleveland Orchestra, and photography.

A memorial service will be held on August 7, 2021 at 10 am at Holy Lutheran Church, 50 N. Prospect St., Akron, OH 44304.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Habitat for Humanity of Summit County 2301 Romig Rd., Akron, OH 44320, or Akron Blind Center, 324 E. Market St., Akron, OH 44304.
