Wilford B. Clarke

KENT - Wilford Byron Clarke, 89, joined his wife in Heaven March 26, 2018. Byron was the first of four brothers born to the late Bernice Opal and Howard Russel Clarke of Moundsville, West Virginia, on July 27, 1928. He lived in the Kent/Ravenna area for 60 years and worked at several locations, including Kent State University, Davey Tree, and Forest City Enterprises. He adored his son, grandson, and daughter-in-law, and enjoyed a decades-long hobby of stamp collecting.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Harriet May (neé Null) Clarke; brothers Marvin Dale Clarke, of Moundsville, WV, and Ronald Elwyn Clarke of Kingman, AZ; and daughter-in-law Natalie (neé Jakab) Clarke of Newton Falls.
Byron is survived by his son, Dale Clarke of Ravenna; and grandson, Brandon (Jalynn) Clarke of Cincinnati; brother Russel Duane (Linda) Clarke of Moundsville, WV; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Friends may call 1 hour prior to a 1 PM funeral service on Friday March 30, 2018 at the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221, with graveside service to follow at Chestnut Hill Memorial Park, 2613 Sackett Ave, Cuyahoga Falls.
