CUYAHOGA FALLS -William R. Diehl, 69, passed away February 16, 2006. Mr. Diehl was born in Akron and had resided in Cuyahoga Falls since 1967, moving there from Akron. He had been a criminal bailiff in Summit County Domestic Relations Court and had been a Summit County Special Deputy for 33 years retired December 2005. He had previously worked for Mohawk Rubber and had his own Security Business for 25 years. Mr. Diehl was past master of Adoniram-Joppa Lodge 517, was a 32nd Degree Mason, and a member of FOP 123 and the Akron Crime Clinic. He had a passion for fishing and loved basketball.
Preceded in death by his mother, Grace B. Lewellen and grandmother, Iva Sears, he is survived by his wife of 38 years, Marjory; daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Louis Mascolo of Stow, Kathy and Wayne Henderson of Greendale, WI and Kim and Don Murphy of Cuyahoga Falls; grandchildren, Bryan Ody, Caitlin (Chris) Honniball and Zachary Henderson; father, Russell Diehl of Akron; 12 siblings including Russell and Randy and numerous extended family including children, Laura, Debby, Wendy and Bill.
The Family will receive friends from 4:00 to 8:00 pm Sunday in The Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls where Adoniram-Joppa Lodge 517 will conduct Masonic Rites at 3:30 pm Sunday. A Funeral Service will be conducted at 10:00 am Monday in The Stow Presbyterian Church 4150 Fishcreek Rd. Stow, OH 44224, Dr. David Weyrick officiating. Interment Greenlawn Cemetery.
