CUYAHOGA FALLS - William A. Hemsley, 82, passed away September 6, 2017.
Bill was born in Steubenville, Ohio to Paul and Mildred (Dray) Hemsley. He graduated from East Liverpool High School and served in the U.S. Army. He moved to Cuyahoga Falls in 1960 and was co-owner of Cardinal Television and then worked at his retirement job at K-Mart. He taught Sunday School for over forty years at Journey Covenant Church. He enjoyed being with his family especially with his grandchildren, fishing and being involved with his church family.
Preceded in death by his parents, brother, Paul Jon Sr., and grandson, Ryan, he is survived by his wife of 58 years, Betty Jean; daughters, Pamela (Bob) Schneider of Annapolis, MD and Robyn (Jim) Samuelson of Russell, PA; grandchildren, Katie, Jenny, Sean (Rebecca) Hart, Jacob (Ellie), Alyssa, Jonah, Aubree, Jarod (Kari) and Joshua (Christy) Samuelson; sisters, Donna (Hugh) Campbell and Naomi (Norm) Poloncarz and many nieces, nephews and friends.
A Memorial Service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 9 at Journey Covenant Church, 2679 North Haven Blvd, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44223 where friends may call from 12:30 until the time of service, Rev. Jeanette Brown officiating. Final resting place Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Camp Mission Meadows, 5201 Eastlake Rd., Dewittville, NY 14728 or Journey Covenant Church. Services entrusted to Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home and Crematory, 330-928-2147.
