William Long

William E. Long, 84 passed away December 10, 2007. Mr. Long was born in Detroit, Michigan and had attended Kent State and Bowling Green Universities, then served in the US Navy in the Philippines during WWII and later attended Western Reserve University before being call back to service for Korea. He worked in aircraft and satellite design before retiring from the State of Ohio working in demographics. He was a Cuyahoga Falls Natatorium enthusiast.

Preceded in death by his parents William H. and Helen Long and sister Betty Long McEvoy, he is survived by his sister, Helen Long and good friend, his dog Max.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday in the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St, Cuyahoga Falls where friends may call from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. Pastor Chad Delaney officiating. A military service will be conducted by American Legion Charles Faust Post 281 at the Funeral Home. Interment Standing Rock Cemetery.
