CUYAHOGA FALLS - William "Bill" E. Mathew, 86, formerly of Cuyahoga Falls, died on Monday, January 31, 2011. He was born in Philippi, West Virginia to Earl and Molly (Bennett) Mathew and lived in Citrus Springs, FL for the last 4 years. Bill was a WWII veteran of the U.S. navy, retired from Cornwell Quality Tools, was a member of Bible Fellowship in Tallmadge, Ohio and attended Mission Possible Ministries in Citrus Springs, FL. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting, gardening and traveling.
Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret "Sparky" Mathew and daughter, Donna Quaint. Survivors include his sons, Rick Mathew and wife Rachel of Citrus Springs, Florida, Dan Mathew and wife Emilie of Gladston, Missouri and Don Mathew and wife Rosalind of Salem, Ohio; brother, Butch Mathew and wife Betty of Parkersburg, West Virginia; sister, Patty Boyland of Strongsville,Ohio; twelve grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Faith Bible Fellowship, 126 W. Overdale, Tallmadge, OH. Pastor Les Sutherland officiating.
