William Mattes

CUYAHOGA FALLS - William Kenneth Mattes, 56, passed away February 7, 2015.

Mr. Mattes was born in Cuyahoga Falls to Alice and Kenneth Mattes and graduated from Cuyahoga Falls High School in 1977. He was employed by Konica and he attended Immaculate Heart of Mary and the Church of Christ. He was loving sharing, caring, forgiving, always there when you needed him, and crazy all wrapped into one wonderful person. He enjoyed fishing, camping, boating and spending time with his loved ones. But the greatest joy of his life was his granddaughter, Bailey.

Preceded in death by his parents he is survived by daughter, Rachel (Dustin) Brace of Perryville, MO; son, Jacob Mattes of Cuyahoga Falls; granddaughter Bailey; former wife Rhonda Mattes; siblings, Linda (Ron) Wahl of Cuyahoga Falls, Gary of Cuyahoga Falls, Becky (Rich) Tustin of New Jersey, and Larry of Cuyahoga Falls and eight nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be conducted Wednesday, February 11 at 4:00 p.m. in the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St, Cuyahoga Falls. Fr. Ralph Thomas officiating. Final resting place Oakwood Cemetery. In lieu of other remembrances, memorials may be made to Falls Village Retirement Community, 330 Broadway St, East, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221. Services entrusted to Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home and Crematory, 330-928-2147.
