William Harding Nees, 82
Silver Lake.
Born January 4th, 1924.
They say old hardware men never die. Bill's earthly body gave way to his new one on Thursday, February 7th; and he is now with his Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ. Bill and his wife Dorothy closed their hardware store on E. Cuyahoga Falls Ave. in North Hill in 1972 after a fifty year reign starting with Bill's father, Frank A. Nees, Sr. Bill finished his career at State Rd. Hardware in Cuyahoga Falls doing what he did best-serving and enjoying his customers.
Bill once said he wanted to tell everyone about Jesus so that he could one day see them in Heaven also. He was a long time member of North Hill United Methodist Church and recently of the Hudson Community Chapel.
Bill also served in World War II, having been stationed in Europe for 2.5 years without furlough.
Preceded in death by his beautiful bride of 55 years, Dorothy. Survived by son, Frank (Pamela) Nees-Hudson; Grandchildren Kimberly (Ben) Smith of Detroit, Kristen (Brian) McCort of Canton, and David of Hudson; great grandchild Ty McCort (and one more on the way).
