CUYAHOGA FALLS -William C. Nitzsche, 82, passed away March 10, 2009. Mr. Nitzsche was born in Akron and had resided in Cuyahoga Falls the past 70 years, moving there from Stow. He had worked as a mechanic for the City of Cuyahoga Falls for 18 years and previously for Jacobson Lawn Mower and was a Veteran of WWII having served with the U. S. Army.
Preceded in death by his parents, Otto and Ruth Nitzsche; sister, Charlotte Canavan and brothers, Bob, Dick and Don Nitzsche, he is survived by his wife of 57 years, Irene, children, William R. (Sharon) of Cuyahoga Falls, Donald (Carol) of Wellsville, KS and Janet (Ted) Dowey, Jack (Patti) and Jon (Lorri) all of Cuyahoga Falls; grandchildren, Melissa (Patrick) Markulis and Brad (Tina) Dowey and Tiffany, Brian, Megan and Sarah Nitzsche; great-grandchildren, Kyle, Kendra and Carter Dowey and his brother-in-law, best friend and God given brother, Roy Laudermilk.
A Memorial Service will be conducted at 11:00 am Saturday in The Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls, Rev. Susan Lausch officiating. Friends may call for one hour prior to service time. Final resting place Oakwood Cemetery.
