CUYAHOGA FALLS - William "Ted" Sallaz, 89, passed away January 25, 2017.
He was a lifelong area resident graduating from Cuyahoga Falls High School in 1945. Ted served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII in the S. Pacific. He worked as a machinist for Industrial Tool, before opening the shop, retiring in 2009. Ted was a member of the Rubber City Model A Club, the United Presbyterian Church (Hudson Dr.), was an avid golfer and enjoyed bird watching.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia "Pat"; son, William R. (Sherri Barber) of Sarasota, FL; daughter, Sherrie Sallaz of Cuyahoga Falls; and nephews, Carroll "Skeetz" Sallaz and Bob (Charlotte) Sallaz.
Friends may call one hour prior to an 11 AM funeral service on Saturday January 28, 2017 in the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls, OH, 44221. In lieu of other remembrances memorials may be made to United Presbyterian Church 2819 Hudson Dr. Cuyahoga Falls, OH, 44221.
