William Stopera

William "Bill" Stopera age 74, passed away December 24,2020. Bill was a graduate of Cuyahoga Falls High School and was in the auto mechanics program. Through this program he met the love of his life Beverly at Jones Buick. After graduation he went on to serve his country in the Navy during the Vietnam war. Bill was a proud member of A.A. for 38 years. In those 38 years he helped many people and many people helped him. He was also a very involved member of St. Eugene's Catholic Church. Bill loved to Golf and he loved to talk about his hole in one.
William was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Doris; and his in-laws, Tony and Millie Schepis.
William is survived by his loving wife, Beverly of almost 55 years; daughters, Michele (Brian) Freyhauf and Lisa (Andrew) Kirkland; granddaughters, Courtney, Miranda, Payton, Sydney, and Kendall; sisters, Brenda and Anita; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.
The family would like to thank the nurses and doctors at Western Reserve Hospital, especially Dr. Fuenning, for their attentive and compassionate service. Visitation will be held at Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls, Oh 44221, from 6pm to 7pm on Monday December 28,2020. Mass of Christian Burial for Bill will be held on December 29th, 2020 at St. Eugene's Catholic Church, 1821 Munroe Falls Ave, Cuyahoga Falls, Oh 44221 at 10am. Followed by interment at Chestnut Hill Memorial Park.
