Willie Hazel

Willie C. Hazel, 79, died October 20, 2004. Mr. Hazel was born in Canton and had resided in Akron and Cuyahoga Falls his entire life. He retired in 1987, having worked as a carpenter for Sykes Construction for 30 years and was a veteran of WW2 serving with the U. S. Army in the European Theater.

Preceded in death by his son, Robert A. he is survived by his wife of 56 years, Jacqueline; son, William Hazel and daughter, Barbara Hazel, both of Tallmadge and grandchildren, Robert David and William Eugene Hazel.
Willie was a very loving and loved man, he loved fishing, had a contagious smile and laugh and a very "special way" of telling his jokes. Like the words of his favorite song by his good friend George, "Mama I'm Coming Home", he has done just that. Willie will be truly missed by his family and friends.

A Funeral Service will be conducted at 12:00 noon Saturday in The Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls where friends may call for one hour prior to service time. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Assoc. P.O. Box 182039 Dept. 013 Columbus, OH 43218-2039.
